Basic Graphic Pen effects on Adobe Photoshop

Step 1: Open an Image

click on FILE, then OPEN

note* Choose and image with a light BG to make the better output...

Step 2: Select the entire image, by pressing CTRL + A

Example of nice image to use, you will notice that there is a running line on the edge of the image, this means that you select the entire region of the image...

Step 3: Click on EDIT, then Click on COPY

Step 4: Open a new canvas, don't change the size then click Ok

When you copy the image the size of the image is also stored thats why when you open a new canvas, it will automatically set the size of the image yuo copied.

Step 5: Right Click on the Image Layer as shown on A, then Click on Duplicate Layer as show on B

when a dialog box appears, Click OK... You can change the name of the duplicate layer.

Step 6: Select the duplicate Layer, then Click on FILTER as shown on A, then Click on SKETCH effects as shown on B, and Click on GRAPHIC PEN as shown on C

Make sure you select the duplicate layer, make sure also that the duplicate layer is on top...

Step 7: Click on - button as shown on B to zoom out, click on + as shown on A to zoom in. Set the STROKE LENGTH = 15, then LIGHT/DARK BALANCE = 20... Click OK i

You can manually adjust on stroke length and Light/Dark Balance as you desired...

Step 8: Set the OPACITY to 63%, as shown on A...

You can adjust the opacity for other picture to make it nice output
