How to zip and attach your VB program

Visual Basic 6.0 is a programming that uses GUI environment.  It's easy to use, in VB your program is composed of Forms, modules, as well as classes they are group by Project file, you can create as many project in your program which is composed of many forms.  Forms are group by Projects and Projects are group by Group file in VB. lets take a peek on Project explorer.

On Project Explorer, as wee see we have 2 projects naming "Project1" and "Project2"
on Project1, we have 2 Forms "Form1" and "Form2" while on Project 2 we have only 1 form "Form1"

In saving your vb program, always save the forms and Project.

• SAVE THE FORM!

• SAVE THE PROJECT

Note* (Dont forget to save your forms and Project becasue if one of them is lost, your program will never run)

Check your files before saving it.  As you can see, Folder that is being mark is the folder where my program is saved as shown on (A).  The window open are the files in my program, check if it is complete as shown on (B)

Note* There should be forms and at least one project file

Compressing folder is one of the tools that helps us easily manage our files. Compression is the process of packing all files into one file and reducing its memory size (KB,MB,GB etc...). The thing here is, you need to compressed your program before you attach it on your email, coz it;s easy to attach only 1 file to email.

Note* Be sure your folder is final before compressing it.

RIGHT CLICK on folder where your program is located. then select SEND TO, then COMPRESSED (ZIPPED) FOLDER

If a dialog appears, click NEXT until Finish

You will notice that there is a new file created, this is the compressed file as shown on (A)

Now you are now ready to attach it to your email, and send it.

Note* the compressed file can be decompressed anytime, so dont worry your files is safe and reduced its memory capacity.
